NATRON: New Album Title, Band Lineup Announced
March 4, 2008Italian death metallers NATRON have issued the following update:
"Well, [on Sunday] the 2nd of March 2008 we finally got started with the recording sessions of the sixth NATRON studio album at the Golem Dungeon Studios in Bari-Capurso with Ottavio Marzo (GOLEM guitarist) as engineer and co-producer! It's kinda unbelievable after facing countless line up troubles throughout the past months but hey! , we finally made it so now expect something really new, fresh and fuckin' brutally brilliant!
"The new NATRON lineup is officially the following:
Nicola Bavaro (CRUENTUS, SCHIZO, GLACIAL FEAR) - Vocals
Stefano Pomponio (URSHURARK, MUTALA, AD NOCTEM FUNERIIS) - Guitar
Domenico Mele - Guitar
Alyosha Danisi (EXHUMER) - Bass
Max Marzocca - Drums
"Max has already nailed down four tracks at the drums in less than three hours but actually there's no need to be in a hurry, we're confident about finishing the recordings within the end of March. Recording sessions should last until the 23rd of March 2008 then we're going to have a break and play a short string of gigs in the southern Italy, then we plan to enter the studio to mix down the album in the beginning of April 2008. We also have the workin' title for this new album which is tentatively named 'Rot Among Us'. At the moment right now we still don't know which label is going to release the record but in the worst case it will be out by August/September 2008!! And a European tour is in the band's plan so stay tuned!"
NATRON split with France's Holy Records after releasing four albums through the label: 1999's "Negative Prevails", 2000's "Bedtime for Mercy", 2002's "Necrospective", and 2004's "Livid Corruption".
The band's most recent full-length effort, "Livid Corruption", was recorded at Jolly Roger studios in Italy and was mixed at Starstruck studios in Denmark with Anders Lundemark (KONKHRA). The mastering session took place in Paris, France.
